Coaching While Competing

During this stage in life, he was both a competitor and coach depending on the time of day. This allowed him to gain a unique perspective on how to quickly relate to students, and become an effective leader.

During his college career, Trent teamed up with teammate Jeff Morys to develop an  after-school tennis program for children around the Flagstaff region. 

Along with his time as a coach for The Special Olympics, this experience helped create  his "early stage" coaching philosophy built around kindness and encouragement.
